Just a look into what we deal with here at This is White Privilege.
What we do here is try to create a space where people of color can have discourse about white privilege. Which inevitably will mean white people and others who heavily internalized racism will want to butt in…as shown here.
People of color, throughout history and currently across the world, have been denied time to commune, time to heal, time to build, time to grieve and apparently, our spaces online will spur someone to want to deny us space to do these things now.
I’m sure this person patted themselves on the pack after they spent a few minutes thinking up these clever but recycled quips. At least now we have yet another example of why racism hasn’t just disappeared and yet another privilege illuminated. The privilege to harass without consequence.
