White privilege is not dreading the daily humiliation of seeing people literally (LITERALLY) running to the adjacent train on the subway to avoid getting on the same one with you. It’s not seeing your suspicions confirmed by a real-life Colored’s Only car developing along the way, as the only people who don’t see you, and subsequently them, as a threat are other black people. It’s not being desperate for a rear corner seat that shields yourself, and more importantly your peripheral vision from aggressive demonstrations of your undesirability after an already soul-crushing day of being underemployed.
