White privilege is NORMAN LEAR. He is credited for the successes of shows such as Sanford and Son, The Jefferson (RIP Sherman), What’s Happening, and Good Times.
Most people do not know that Eric Monte not only came up with the ideas for some of these shows but wrote most of the story lines for the shows without receiving credit or residual pay for his work.
Monte even filed a lawsuit against Lear in 1977 for stealing his ideas for the shows which he did win but only recieved a paltry sum compared to the money that Lear and Bud Yorkin made from his ideas…After this, he was basically blackballed by the industry that was dominated by Lear….
Sorry had to put that out there..For people on FB praising Lear for the success of the Jeffersons….
