White privilege is reading Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn aloud in your mostly white English class and not being the one black student that everyone stares at when the word “nigger” is read.

Note: that one black student was me. 

Mod note: Every time that word was mentioned in Huck Finn, the professor glanced at me really quickly.
