White privilege is growing up in public schools where everyone dresses up as “native americans” for Thanksgiving using racist stereotypes and not having anyone else think there’s something wrong with that.

In the same vein, white privilege is when other people dress up as “indians” for halloween or thanksgiving and ask me, a Native American, what I think of their “headdress” or “war paint.”

Mod note: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if white people want to wear war paint and headdresses, we should dump them in the woods somewhere and make themĀ earnĀ those feathers.
